We are hiring a Sr. Marketing Manager!



We are seeking someone with an analytical marketing mind to drive multi-channel customer retention efforts.  Responsible for building and delivering CRM strategies with actionable insights based on data analytics, consumer insights and market research, to optimize customer retention, lifetime value, revenue, and profitability from existing client base.  Executed through ownership of direct mail program, as well as integration of online channels, including but not limited to: e-mail, SMS, social media, and site merchandising.  In this role, goals are met by managing staff member/s and personal contribution.  Thought leader with entrepreneurial mindset who can identify, analyze, and implement new opportunities to expand our jewelry product line.  Functions as an analytical resource and budget manager to the division.



What you get to do each day includes:


Lead customer relationship strategy to existing client base, maximizing response and ROI through effective planning, analyzing and implementation of direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns.

  • Managed strategic planning and campaign execution for Jewelry’s direct mail program.
  • Directs targeting/segmentation , creative efforts, forecasting, and data analysis to create optimal campaign plans to existing client base.
  • Identifying new opportunities to optimize growth initiatives, define requirements, and follow through to implementation.
  • Collaborate with internet marketing channels to optimize advertising and customer communication, most notably via e-mail, merchandising, social media, and SMS.
  • Lead promotional calendar & communication strategy to engage with different customer segments.
  • Track effectiveness of campaigns through weekly reporting.
  • Compile, analyze and leverage performance data to both identify optimization within the current business and new opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor and understand the competitive landscape to identify and implement appropriate strategies to develop new programs and maximize existing ones.
  • Responsible to meet yearly circulation, ROI, and sales goals defined thru the budget.
  • Maximize customer lifetime value strategies ensuring maximum profitability.
  • Contribute to process changes, decisions and business shifts necessary to achieve success through personalization.

Collaborate with Product Development to develop and grow product categories as assigned.

  • Build knowledge of product category across all channels and communicate through developed reporting tools.
  • Regularly update the team on program performance and future opportunities.
  • Aggressively participate in collaborative sessions to identify opportunities and determine program viability and appropriate timing.
  • Establish structured testing plans in regards to number of tests, test channel, and appropriate timing to ensure growth and overall affinity performance improves over prior year.
  • Lead 1-2 new major growth initiatives for the jewelry business, owning opportunity to explore and initiate previously untapped markets and categories for the jewelry business to grow and diversify.

Manage staff to ensure department goals are being met and exceeded.

  • Provide feedback and training as needed to ensure personal growth and division knowledge are being developed and grown for multiple team members.
  • Set measurable goals and career paths to encourage continued development of team. Regularly track progress.


Function as an analytical resource to the organization including presentations, reports and professional interaction with Senior Management.



Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Finance, Statistics or related field
  • 5-10 years progressive experience in responsibilities and decision making in catalog/direct/database marketing and execution
  • 2-5 years supervisory experience
  • Understanding of CRM marketing standard methodologies, particularly with direct mail
  • Data-oriented and marketing skills, highly fluent with Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of SAS, SPSS, or other statistical software
  • Proven project management skills – must be able to manage multiple projects and tasks and complete in a timely manner
  • Management/supervisory experience.  Must be able to train and mentor staff to grow them to the next level
  • Progressive experience relative to responsibilities and decision making
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree a plus
  • Direct marketing analysis and circulation planning from: a direct response marketing company, catalog or publishing environment is preferred
  • Understanding of or previous knowledge of inventory forecasting and management
